VG-40 grade bitumen is in the top of list when we are looking for a high resistant bitumen. It is used in very hot climate condition (above 40 C) and in highly stressed situations such as conjunctions and truck parking stations . VG- 30  bitumen is more viscous than VG-20 , min 2400 in contrast min 1600 for VG-20 in 60 C. The more viscosity, the more resistance in hot mix asphalt and hot summer conditions. It's a main grade used in road covering construction. VG 30 has a broad usage in construction, water proofing and paving works and known an good replacement for 60-70 penetration grade. VG-20 grade of bitumen as like as VG- 10 is specifically produced to use in cold climate regions and high altitude areas. This type of bitumen commonly is used for production of hot mix asphalt and construction works. VG 10 grade bitumen is the softest grade of bitumen. This is the best grade for spray in surface and paving applications. It is specially used for cold climate conditions instead of the old penetration grade 80-100. The most suitable match temperature for  VG10 bitumen  is from -100C to 250C.
