Bitumen penetration Grade 60/70

Bitumen 60/70 is a standard penetration grade usually used as a paving grade bitumen for the production of asphalt in road construction and production of asphalt pavements.

Grade Penetration grade 60/70
Appearance   sticky, black, highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum.
Packaging bulk, and drums in different sizes of 150 Kg,180 Kg,200 Kg ,240 Kg

The Bitumen mode is dependent on temperature. The temperature and stiffness  of bitumen is dependent on the type of crude oil and its refining method. Bitumen penetration grade 60/70 with the highest viscosity is known to semi hard penetration grade ,specially used for asphalt production .Generally used In covering application and  In producing hot mix asphalt . Bitumen 60/70 is one of the most used bitumen grades and it’s a basic material for all other bituminous products. Penetration grade bitumen 60-70 could reach a softening point  in 48-52C with the highest penetration ,60 to 70 desi-millimeter . This grade is a  thermoplastic property that have a reaction alike synthetic resin which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Because of its low, strong viscosity its a convenient product for hot weather conditions .
